One of the Easter traditions that we at Rulli Bros. are VERY aware of, is that of the wonderous 'Ricotta Pie'.  This is a staple in Youngstown's family Easter meals.  We sell them already made at Rulli Bros. as well as being fully prepared with PLENTY of ingredients for you to make your own.  As our resident chef Doug has his delicious recipe, we would also love to add a few to our new collection.  As we progress through each season and into the development of this new web-site, we have a goal to collect many local recipes, and eventually put them together.  As we kick this project off, we feel lucky to be in a community with such a love for, not only food, but old traditional recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation.  There are probably holiday foods that you have made so many times, the recipe is all in your head at this point.  That is the beauty of tradition, it becomes ingrained in us.  So please, take a moment to share your tradition and write down your favorite recipe for the infamous Ricotta Pie.  The Ricotta Pie is new to some of us, so your old recipe may be used to start a brand new tradition.  Please email your recipes to info@rullibrothers.com.  We will do our best to post as many different recipes throughout the week for you.  We look forward to hearing from you, and who knows, maybe you will take credit for the first recipe to start our collection!  Happy Baking!!!

As we are approaching Easter, we at Rulli Bros. are interested to hear about the different traditions that are practiced this week by our customers.  Whether it be coloring eggs, eating tons of chocolate, Religious traditions, or even burning that old Christmas tree from last year that is still sitting out in your back yard....(old German tradition...), we would love to hear about it!  So please leave your comments on this blog page or email them to us and we will post them.  Send pictures if you've got them!  Being located in the heart of this melting pot of a city, we are sure to hear plenty of new activities and traditions that are carried throughout the generations surrounding us.  So, let us know!  Have fun with this, and always remember the reason for every season!!!  Happy Easter!!
